MH370 families are 'none the wiser' after 495-page report is released

MH370 news: Final report into Malaysia Airlines flight leaves families in TEARS | Daily Star

Investigators released a probe report on Monday into the missing Malaysia Airlines jetliner MH370 and said they were unable to determine the cause of one of the world's greatest aviation mysteries.

With the technology in place at the time of MH370's fateful flight however, "the team is unable to determine the real cause for (its) disappearance".

An initial search for the plane, carried out by Malaysia, China, and Australia, was called off in January 2017 after failing to find any trace of the plane within a 710,000-plus square kilometer area of the Indian Ocean. The report issued Monday followed a second, private search that failed to find the plane.

"It is possible that the absence of communications prior to the flight path diversion was due to the systems being manually turned off, whether by intent or otherwise", he said at a news conference, adding the report wasn't final and conclusive given the wreckage wasn't found.

The MH370 story is etched in aviation history as the most freaky incident, how a Boeing 777 with 239 people onboard vanished under mysterious circumstances, unleashing never ending scenarios provided both by aviation experts and conspiracy theorists.

In retaliating for USA tariffs, China targeted products from areas of the country that supported Trump during the 2016 election. The biggest news from the Trump-Juncker meeting is that it appears to have delayed an impending trade war over autos.

"With the release of the Report, my heart goes out to the loved one of those on board flight MH370 as Malaysia stands in solidarity together with the worldwide community and the next-of-kin during this trying time", he said.

"We can not rule out unlawful interference by a third party", Kok said, according to the Associated Press.

It was the second major search after Australia, China and Malaysia ended a fruitless A$200 million ($147.06 million) search across an area of 120,000 sq km (46,332 sq miles) a year ago.

The report documented shortcomings among Kuala Lumpur air traffic controllers: they were too slow to initiate emergency procedures and there was no evidence to suggest they were continuously monitoring radar displays, it said. "They have to continue the search until they find the plane", she said.

Claims that Hamid's mobile phone was used found that it was only a "heat signal", which Kok said "was just a signal heat to show that the phone was turned on, but there was no call".

Now even kids are marching against Trump
Another 94 children had parents whose locations were under review and 7 children were impacted by a separate court case. Children and parents wore matching hospital-like identification bracelets and carried belongings in white plastic bags.

"No conclusions are drawn, no blame is assigned", said Grace Nathan, the daughter of one of the victims on the plane. At the same time, the report says there's nothing to suggest the aircraft was deliberately evading radar, as suggested by aviation experts who appeared on an Australian news program a few months ago.

The Malaysian police previously concluded there were no unusual activity on the home simulator.

Investigators highlighted some mistakes made by the Kuala Lumpur and Ho Chi Minh City air traffic control centers and made safety recommendations to ensure such incidents do not occur again.

Only three confirmed fragments of MH370 have been found, all of them on western Indian Ocean shores - far from the main search zone - including a two-metre wing part known as a flaperon.

Malaysia's new government, which took power in May, has said the hunt could be resumed but only if new evidence comes to light.

For Russian business, Putin's summit win over Trump turns sour
There will be no relief of Crimea-related sanctions until Russian Federation returns control of the Crimean Peninsula to Ukraine. Pompeo also testified on the status of negotiating North Korea's denuclearization, saying a great deal of work remains.

Theories include the suggestion that the whole plane, including the captain, fell unconscious and the plane ran on auto-pilot before crashing into the sea.
