India's stubbornness hampered proceedings of Mumbai attacks case: Nisar

I was named Taliban Khan for opposing war

Nawaz, in a recent interview to Dawn newspaper, had said, "Militant organisations are active".

The trial for the 26/11 attacks are stuck in a court in Rawalpindi since 2009 and have made little progress despite voluminous evidence forwarded by Indian in dossiers to Pakistan including the intercepts between the terror masterminds and the terrorists in Mumbai.

Rehman warned that such reckless statements inflict damage on Pakistan's narrative while apprising at the same time that country has tendered unrivalled sacrifices in war on terror.

Nawaz Sharif admits Pak's role in 26/11 attacks
He also reportedly admitted, in a first, that anti-India terror organisations are indeed operating out of Pakistani soil. Nawaz Sharif has been restricted from contesting elections in Pakistan for life. "Shame on you NS shame on you".

"I say with full responsibility that the delay and slow pace of the Mumbai attacks-related case in Pakistan was not Pakistan's doing but was a result of non-cooperation and stubbornness by India", said the disgruntled PML-N member. Afghanistan's narrative is being accepted, but ours is not.

"After all, it was Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif who, resisting all pressures, took the most important and most hard decision on national security in Pakistan's history by making the country a nuclear power in May 1998", he said. Stating that the terrorist organisations were thriving in Pakistan, he held them which he called "non-state actors" responsible for the series of coordinated attacks in Mumbai. Speaking to Pakistan's Dawn news organisation, Sharif, who is now tangled in legal cases slammed the slow probe and questioned the authorities who allowed the Mumbai attacks to take place from Pakistan soil. "The lack of cooperation by India was the biggest hurdle in the investigation. We have always cooperated with India over information sharing pertaining to all incidents of terrorism", Nisar added. He called Nawaz Sharif a "modern-day Mir Jafar, who collaborated with the British to enslave his nation for personal gains".

Sharif did not name Mumbai attack mastermind Hafiz Saeed and Maulana Masood Azhar's Jamaat-ud-Dawah and Jaish-e-Mohammad that operate in the country with impunity in the interview.

Nevertheless, United will have a chance to finish the season with silverware, when they face Chelsea in the FA Cup on 19 May. He said: "It looks like they don't believe in what they're doing".

A number of Pakistani witnesses both official and private testified and provided evidence against the seven accused, but the Pakistani authorities have been insisting on sending Indian witnesses for reaching a verdict in the case.

The trial of Pakistani suspects in the Mumbai attacks case had virtually come to a standstill after the governments of Pakistan and India had a row over the testimony of 24 Indian witnesses.
