McCabe report sent to U.S. attorney for possible charges

Top News: Trump claims Comey threw McCabe 'below the bus' after prison referral

A source confirmed to Fox News that the prosecution was shipped.

The individuals wanted for investigation include Comey, Clinton, Lynch, ex-FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe, former acting Attorney General Sally Yates, former acting Deputy Attorney General Dana Boente, FBI agent Peter Strzok and FBI counsel Lisa Page.

A spokesman for the U.S. Attorney's office and the inspector general declined to comment Thursday.

Rep. Mark Meadows, R-N.C., supported the movement in a Thursday, tweet afternoon.

The recommendations for the criminal investigations were sent to Mr. Sessions by 11 Republican members of the House of Representatives, reports Katie Pavlich, editor of Townhall.com and a political analyst. A spokesman for the US attorney's office in Washington could not immediately be reached. He said McCabe was "quite positive" he also told Comey after the story was published that he "had authorized the sharing of that information". McCabe asked the official, "Are you telling me that I need to shut down a validly predicated investigation?"

McCabe has denied misleading anyone.

"Good people lie. I think I'm a good person, where I have lied", Comey said.

"And I'm quite confident that it didn't happen, as is the inspector general", Comey said.

As FBI No. 2, McCabe was authorized to reveal the existence of investigations if it served the public interest, but McCabe authorized the leak "in a manner created to advance his personal interests at the expense of Department leadership", the OIG determined. At the time, Devlin Barrett - then a reporter at the Wall Street Journal - was preparing a story on the bureau's handling of that case and another investigation into the Clinton family foundation.

Mr. McCabe was referred for perceived violation of three different codes after Department of Justice Inspector General Michael Horowitz released a report detailing multiple lies, the majority under oath to FBI and OIG investigators before Mr. McCabe was sacked regarding the FBI's criminal investigation into Mrs. Clinton, the FBI's investigation into the Clinton Foundation and more.

Fans and friends of the EDM DJ took to Twitter to mourn the loss of the producer and remember some of his greatest hits. In August of previous year , he released a six-track EP entitled "Avici". "Words cannot describe how I feel right now".

Horowitz found that McCabe lacked "candor" when questioned by Federal Bureau of Investigation agents on multiple occasions, and that he told agents he did not authorize the disclosure and did not know who was responsible.

The attorney added that he has not had time yet to find witnesses to corroborate McCabe, the report said. Comey was quoted as saying within the report.

"The OIG found that then Deputy Director Andrew McCabe lacked candor, including under oath on multiple occasions in connection with describing his role in connection with a disclosure to the WSJ, and that this conduct violated FBI Offense Codes 2.5 and 2.6". In fact, the report fails to adequately address the evidence (including sworn testimony) and documents that prove that Mr. McCabe advised Director Comey repeatedly that he was working with the Wall Street Journal on the stories in question prior to publication.

The referral to the district USA attorney's office occurred some time ago, after the inspector general concluded that McCabe had lied to investigators or his own boss, then-FBI Director James Comey, on four occasions, three of them under oath.
