Trump bowed to Pentagon restraint on Syria strikes

US, allies attacking Syria to stop chemical weapon

Western governments said Assad was responsible for the use of internationally prohibited weapons, though the Syrian and Russian governments denied any involvement in the attack. US officials said they gave Russian Federation no specific warnings of the attacks or the targets, but used the usual hotline with Moscow's military to ensure the airspace was clear.

Mr Bush addressed sailors aboard a Navy ship in May 2003 alongside a "Mission Accomplished" banner, just weeks before it became apparent that Iraqis had organised an insurgency that would tie down United States forces for years.

The United States and its allies are revving up their war machine once again in the Middle East with their latest military strike in Syria, despite the risk of escalating tensions in the wider region.

She said: "We're not going to get into any other options that were on the table".

Much like US statements, Britain's foreign secretary Boris Johnson said there are no plans to launch additional military strikes against Syria, but that his country and its allies will consider further action if Assad uses chemical weapons against his people in the future. The Pentagon said it gave no explicit warning.

He added that France wanted to launch a diplomatic initiative over Syria that would include Western powers, Russia, and Turkey. "Unfettered access essential. Russian Federation and Syria must cooperate".

He added that "botched up investigations" into the Shopian case were the main reason behind the 2010 uprising in the Valley. Congress leader Pawan Khera said the party did not defend its Karnataka leader Dinesh Gundurao's remark on Yogi Adityanath.

On Saturday, the UN Security Council rejected a resolution drafted by Russian Federation, while all North Atlantic Treaty Organisation allies have given the military action their full support.

"We do not seek conflict in Syria, but we can not allow such grievous violations of global law", she said, referring to the suspected chemical attack.

Assad's government has denied ever using toxic chemicals in the course of its seven-year civil war, although previous OPCW missions have detected toxic substances.

USA military officials said an initial assessment showed every one of the missiles struck its target on Saturday, reducing the facilities to rubble while avoiding any civilian casualties. "They will go directly to any sort of companies that were dealing with equipment related to Assad and chemical weapons use", she said in an interview with CBS' Face the Nation.

On CBS's "Face the Nation", Haley said the Treasury Department will announce the new sanctions and insisted the United States has sent "a strong message" about the use of chemical weapons.

Others said they came because, in part, they're afraid of possible repercussions that may follow any action taken by the US.

He shot an absurd 66% from three, while his average for the year is 37%. "They kept pretty calm and poised throughout the season. Kevin Love and Rodney Hood narrowly missed that threshold with nine points apiece, with Love collecting a game-high 17 rebounds.

"There are no U.S. or Coalition operations in that area [Homs]".

The most urgent task now is to hold a comprehensive, objective and impartial investigation of the alleged chemical weapon attack, not to show who has a bigger gun. The US expressed concerns that Russian Federation may have tampered with evidence at the site.

U.S. Defense Secretary Jim Mattis said that "right now, this is a one-time shot and I believe it has sent a very strong message to dissuade him, to deter him".

Marine Lt. Gen. Kenneth F. McKenzie, director of the Joint Staff at the Pentagon, said the allied airstrikes "took out the heart" of Assad's chemical weapons arsenal. She said that the missile strikes should be expanded.

"There is still a residual element of the Syrian program that is out there", McKenzie said.

Haley followed up with an appearance on CBS' "Face the Nation" on Sunday in which she promised further consequences for those allied with Assad, namely Russian Federation and Iran.

Embiid ruled out for Game 2
I've been able to do everything. "I feel fine", Redick said. "We're gonna see how it feels in the next couple of days". Simmons finished just one rebound short of a coveted triple-double with 17 points, 14 assists and nine rebounds.
