Why Is Apple Changing Its Approach to Software Updates?

Apple iOS 12 iPhone apps will be able to run on MacOS- report

The company hopes to introduce new functionality that will allow users to use Animoji in FaceTime so they can control the animated faces that mirror their behaviors in real time while communicating with others.

The iPhone maker is promising a number of new features with this year's software upgrade, like a single set of apps to work across iPhones, Macs and iPads.

What do you think about Apple's decision to get back to perfecting their iOS software? "The company will continue to update its software annually, but internally engineers will have more discretion to push back features that aren't as polished to the following year". After launching a series of updates that have contained bugs and undeveloped features, Apple's faced criticism from its users and developers.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 and Note 5 Pro officially unveiled in India
The Pro variant of the Redmi Note 5 Pro offers premium features like a dual rear camera unit and a better selfie camera as well. The high-end model has 6GB of RAM and 64GB storage , making it the first Xiaomi smartphone in India with this RAM capacity.

While these no doubt sound exciting, it also means some of the highly-rumored features could be delayed. One of the most interesting, Gurman says, will enable developers to create apps that work on both macOS and iOS.

Traditionally, Apple has released major iOS updates on an annual cycle.

Similarly, this rumor could indicate that Apple plans to merge the iOS and Mac App Stores so that users can buy an app once and run it on an iPhone, an iPad and a Mac.

Apple Live News Section Now Available in TV App
If you don't have the corresponding app on your iOS device or Apple TV, you'll be redirected to download it from the App Store. If you're running the most recent versions of iOS and tvOS, the feature should now be live.

Recent reports reveal Apple's iBoot for iOS 9 security software leak - known as its "biggest" leak in company history - originated from a "low-level" employee.

The report suggests that Apple is also working on a redesigned Stocks app for iOS 12, improved Do Not Disturb feature with more granular settings, deeper integration of Siri into the iPhone's search view, multi-person augmented reality game support, and an improved photo import interface for iPad. This new tool follows an open letter from two large Apple investors early this year who expressed concern that kids are too addicted to their digital devices. The ability to synchronize Messages in iCloud, for example, was initially vaunted as a headline feature in iOS 11 at WWDC 2017 previous year.

According to Bloomberg, however, this is more than just a periodic pause for Apple to catch its metaphorical breath. Unlike Google, which introduces new capabilities in a piecemeal fashion as individual apps are updated, Apple goes for an all-or-nothing approach. While the bulk of this report is simply a rehash of the first one, with little new added, Bloomberg adds additional detail on what features Apple will be bringing to their devices over the next two years.
