These Proposed Sanctions On North Korea Would Hit Its Economy - Hard

UN imposes tough new sanctions on North Korea over latest ballistic missile launch

Kim said this at a meeting with high-ranking Workers Party officials days after Pyongyang successfully tested its most advanced intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) to date, Efe quoted the KCNA report.

The resolution bans the supply of almost 75 percent of refined oil products to North Korea, puts a cap on crude deliveries and orders the repatriation of all North Korean nationals working overseas by the end of 2019.

The US continues to stress out that they are looking for a diplomatic solution, but the new sanctions aims to increase the pressure on North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.

This is the fourth resolution on North Korea in 2017 and the third one toughening the anti-North Korean sanctions during the year.

Following its release, Trudeau acknowledged he should have taken precautions and cleared his family vacation prior to the trip. Trudeau's wife, Sophie Grégoire Trudeau, went to the island with friends, no members of the Aga Khan's family were present.

The United Nations Security Council has further toughened sanctions against North Korea following a ballistic missile test on November 29.

According to the US Ambassador to the UN Nikki Haley, "It (the resolution) sends the unambiguous message to Pyongyang that further defiance will invite further punishments and isolation".

The country had also regularly threatened they would destroy South Korea, Japan and the United States and continue to claim that the weapons program is necessary to counter USA aggression.

Columnist for NK News, Peter Ward said the sanctions would be "devastating" for the Democratic People's Republic of North Korea's (DPRK) haulage industry, and for businesses and people using home generators.

Trump asked Chinese President Xi Jinping last month to cut off oil to North Korea, a move that would cripple its desperately struggling economy.

Specifically, the new resolution cuts deliveries of products including diesel and kerosene by nearly 90 percent, to the equivalent of 500,000 barrels per year starting January 1.

The resolution that was adopted will restrict new deliveries of petrol products by up to 90 per cent, to 500,000 barrels a year, and crude oil at 4 million barrels a year.

China, however, raised objections at those sanctions and the request to ban the 10 ships from ports worldwide will again be considered on December 28.

North Carolina had the 5th fastest growing population in 2016-17
Be that as it may, net worldwide relocation diminished by 1.8 percent - the main drop since 2012 to 2013. In 2017, 38.0 percent of the nation's population lived in the South and 23.8 percent lived in the West.

Anchor: Tensions continue to rise between North Korea and the rest of the world as Kim Jong-un asserts his country's nuclear capability and the United Nations seeks even stronger sanctions against the rogue regime. The measure also prohibits insurance for all North Korean-affiliated vessels.
