Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again trailer is out

Trailer for the 'Mamma Mia!' sequel is here

Predictably entitled Mamma Mia!

The first trailer for Mamma Mia!: Here We Go Again was released this morning, giving fans a first look at the sequel to the beloved onscreen ABBA musical that released in 2008.

Amanda Seyfried appears as Sophie Sheridan, now pregnant, and in a scene where she reunites with her mother's best friends, Tanya (Christine Baranski) and Rosie (Julie Walters), in Greece, Rosie tells her, "Your mother was the bravest person we ever knew". The movie's release date is July 20, 2018. The teaser confirms that Sophie (Amanda Seyfried) is pregnant. Aside from a few dreamy-looking shots, Streep is curiously absent and referenced only in the past tense, leaving fans (and a number of media outlets) to speculate on Donna's fate. If you're not familiar with the original - beloved for its script, acting and soundtrack - it features a young woman about to be married. So we get to see the young Donna (Lily James) and the possible fathers for the first time. In this 2017 "prequel", the suitors are Hugh Skinner (young Harry), Josh Dylan (young Bill), and Jeremy Irvine (young Sam).
