Reward in Seminole Heights serial killer case increases to $100000

SEE IT: Tampa police release new footage of suspect in Seminole Heights killings

"We need to and will find who's committing these heinous, senseless murders and when we do, it will be because of people like Richard, the Seminole Heights community, Tampa Police Department and our partners in the law enforcement community who have poured their blood, sweat and tears into bringing this killer to justice".

Police gained a better description of the suspect after the fourth killing, saying a witness described him as a black male, 6 feet to 6-foot-2, with a thin build and light complexion.

"I want people to see how this person walks", Tampa Police Chief Brian Dugan said.

Not long before that, security cameras in the neighborhood captured the suspect walking alone, in video that looks very similar to surveillance footage of a man walking through the same neighborhood October 9, right before 22-year-old college student Benjamin Mitchel was shot and killed.

Police said they believe those three killings were committed by the same person.

Ronald Felton, 60, was on his way to volunteer at the pantry when he was shot and killed Tuesday morning.

"The reward is now totaled at $91,000", Dugan said. Still, Dugan said police are "pretty convinced" that the suspect was involved in the deaths of at least Mitchell and Felton.

Police have also ordered residents to keep their porch lights on between the hours of 6pm and 6am, since the killer strikes under the cover of darkness.

They say Felton was crossing the street to meet someone when a gunman came up behind him and shot him. He had a large black pistol and was last seen wearing all black.

"We were just getting a sense of business was starting to pick up, because the other three murders happened a few months back - I don't even know, maybe six weeks?" she said.

"We're not using the word "serial killer" yet because we just don't have enough evidence", Buckhorn said. They have released surveillance videos of a hooded suspect after the earlier shootings.

The first murder occurred on October 9, 2017.

Two days after Mitchell, 22, was shot, Monica Hoffa, 32, was gunned down.

Today's homicide follows three unsolved killings that occurred within blocks of one another days before Halloween near a bus route used by two of the victims. And on October 19, Anthony Naiboa, 20, was shot after taking the wrong bus home from his new job. "Look at what you're taking away from this world: people that were going to flourish and be something about themselves, or were helping people or were doing things for this world".
