Duterte backs Japan in countering North Korea

Abe has said rescuing Japanese citizens abducted by North Korea in the 1970s and 1980s is a "top priority" for his Cabinet, but if the military option is taken in response to North Korea's growing nuclear and missile threat, it would inevitably jeopardize the abductees' lives.

World leaders who attended a regional summit here shared an "unprecedented sense of crisis" over North Korea's continuous development of nuclear weapons, Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe said Tuesday.

North Korea responded by launching another ballistic missile over Japan on September 15.

"We are supporting you against what North Korea is doing".

Korea says S. Korea-US drills could lead to war
Trump, who is on the final leg of his crucial Asia tour, made North Korea a top priority in his 12-day-long trip. The Reagan - homeported in Japan - joined the other two carriers, which are based in the Western United States.

After the meeting, the Japanese and Australian prime ministers had their bilateral talks for 30 minutes, agreeing to work closely to deal with issues including China's expansion in the South and East China Seas. "It is bad. It puts a strain on everybody, not only in Japan but all over the world", Duterte said.

This statement was echoed by Japan Foreign Press Secretary Norio Maruyama, who told media at a press briefing the global community must create conditions that leave North Korea with "no other choice" but to seek dialogue with other nations.

The Philippine leader, known for his colorful language, earlier called North Korean leader Kim Jong Un "chubby" and "son of b***h".

According to Duterte, the ASEAN is trying to persuade Kim to stop his aggressiveness as this may bring the world to the point of no return.

Switzerland seals World Cup spot
Northern Ireland coach Michael O'Neill said his team's exit after a spirited second-half Sunday was "a devastating moment". FURIOUS Ollie Norwood feels Northern Ireland have been "shafted" out of a place at the World Cup .

"That is why we are persuading him, maybe pleading him to stop the aggressive posture because we are not... The Philippines is too far but, you know, nobody will save us from a holocaust if it happens", he said.

Japan and South Korea, East Asian countries that also host United States military installations, are likewise bracing for possible missile attacks.

China's Prime Minister Li Keqiang agreed, saying APT cooperation enabled Asian countries to jointly respond to the aid of the region when it was hit by a financial crisis.

Abe, Trump and Turnbull all underscored the importance of maximizing pressure on North Korea and fully implementing U.N. Security Council resolutions, according to the officials. "We reaffirmed that Japan and the United States are 100 percent together", Abe said at a joint press conference with Trump.

It is usually found in freshwater settings, according to the health site, and "often spreads through contaminated water systems". Officials say Legionella, at low levels, poses no threat to humans and is commonly found in human-made water systems.
