Man accused of attacking Sen. Paul pleads not guilty

The man accused of tackling U.S. Senator Rand Paul of Kentucky and breaking his ribs as he was mowing his lawn pleaded not guilty on Thursday to a misdemeanor assault charge, a court official said.

Kentucky State Police said they arrived at Paul's home in Warren County on Friday afternoon in response to a report of an assault and arrested 59-year-old Rene Boucher.

It remains uncertain when Paul will return to the Senate. The incident, which Baker stated was just the result of a disagreement over yard waste, has raised many questions, and some believe it was motivated by something deeper - possibly political.

"Last week, Sen. Paul was vigorously assaulted by someone in his neighborhood".

Irish rail strike to hit cross-border services
Unions had sought annual pay increases of about 3.75 per cent - similar to the rises secured by workers at Dublin Bus and Luas after strikes a year ago .

The office of Warren County prosecutor Amy Milliken is working with Kentucky State Police and the Federal Bureau of Investigation, she shared, though did not provide further details. The first "conversation" with the attacker came after Sen.

It was initially reported that Paul had five broken ribs and small cuts to his nose and mouth after the November 3 attack. This was not a 'fight, ' it was a blindside, violent attack by a disturbed person.

Warren County prosecutor Amy Milliken didn't provide any more details but said her office is working with Kentucky State Police and the Federal Bureau of Investigation. A pretrial hearing was set for November 30.

Paul tweeted Wednesday that along with six broken ribs he also has excess fluid around his lung.

This would allow further weight reduction with increased use of carbon fiber or the application of CFK to high-fatigue parts. While promising, the car's design does present certain challenges which could take years for Lamborghini to overcome.

Paul writes on Twitter Wednesday: "I appreciate all of the support from everyone".

Boucher's lawyer has said the attack had nothing to do with politics, and The New York Times reported it stemmed from a "landscaping dispute".

Paul and Boucher have been neighbors for 17 years in a gated community in Bowling Green.

An attorney for Boucher provided ABC News with a statement Monday, saying that the incident was unrelated to politics and instead spurred by a "trivial" dispute.

Apple has a secretive new structure that would enable it to continue avoiding billions in taxes, the Paradise Papers show. CEO Tim Cook appeared before Congress in early 2013 to defend Apple's strategy of holding most of its cash in Ireland.

A Paul friend told The Associated Press that the senator was tackled from behind and slammed to the ground Friday.
