First Charges Filed in Trump-Russia Special Counsel Investigation

The first charges in the investigation into Donald Trump's campaign connections to Russian Federation, led by special counsel Robert Mueller, were approved by a grand jury in Washington, DC on Friday.

The first person to be charged in connection with the investigation into alleged collusion between Donald Trump's presidential campaign and Russian Federation is due to be taken into custody tomorrow. It wasn't immediately clear, for example, who is being charged and what crimes were allegedly committed.

The charges were reportedly sealed.

And if things go wrong in Malaysia, he would still have a distinct advantage going into his "home" Grand Prix - the Valencia GP - on November 12.

Special counsel Robert Mueller, a former Federal Bureau of Investigation director, is investigating whether Trump campaign officials colluded with the Russian efforts. "In other words that they will agree to cooperate with the investigation".

The special counsel investigation began in May following Trump's firing of FBI Director James Comey.

Mr Trump, who was elected president last November, has denied allegations that his campaign colluded with Russian Federation and labelled the investigations as a "witch hunt".

Facebook had recently revealed that for just $100,000, apparent Russia-linked buyers placed some 3,000 advertisements on its pages previous year that appeared aimed at influencing the election.

In July, FBI agents raided the Virginia home of Mr Trump's former campaign manager, Paul Manafort.

"The speculation is so insane right now", says Lewandowski. "The continued lies they continue to perpetuate". However, CNN's source said that whoever the charges are against may be taken into custody as soon as Monday.
